This page was set up in loving memory of Robert 'Roy' Lunn who was found dead on the 23rd of June 2005 at his home just off the Shankill Road, Belfast. In the end the cause of death was 'undetermined' although those who cared enough about him believe that foul play was involved. Although we will probably never find out how he spent his last hours or died, he is still deeply missed by our wee family.
Roy was always there for my family... we spent christmases with him...easter with him....he was the one who bought us birthday presents...celebrated with me when i passed my 11 plus....helped me with my homeworks at grammar school... we'd be at his house on old year's night to see in the new year with him...he'd join us for days out and we'd moan to him when we had a bad day!! He was everything a dad needed to be and I miss him like he was my own.
Since it seems I cannot leave any memorials at your tree(as there are grave robbers about and you know who you are) this memorial is for you Roy... I LOVE YOU LOTS 'DAD' AND MISS YOU EVERYDAY!

To roy... i havent written on ur wall as of yet but i thought now wud be the perfect time... 6 yrs have went by since u passed and u left far to soon... i thank u for the.memories and the times spent together.. i thank u for the happiness u brought to my mum.. she misses u very much... i never realized the lessons u tried teachin me until now... hurtin ppl bein decievin and generally not carin... i just want to say that i think i have finally kept my head down and grown up abit with thanks to u.. u had time for me wen he didnt or wen anybody didnt for that matter and for that i thanku.. i love u like a father cause to us thats wat u are and always have been....

Hiya darlin, we love and miss you every single day. When things are not going that well we wonder what you would advise us to do. Its nearly 5 years now, ''dosent seem like yesterday'' and things are not the same at all. I was thinking the other day about the time we took nanny nesbitt to millisle for the day to get her out, The sun was shineing and she was so happy. Then we went to the windmill. and finally had a lovely walk with her on the beach. That was a real good day wasnt it, no pretense, just a good day out with your nan and she really loved you for it didnt she. You were her 'boy' To us you were such a good, thoughtful, kind friend, nothing was ever too much trouble, and your friendship is so sadly missed, We will never ever forget you Roy. In life we had lots of false friends, we had one really GOOD FRIEND and that was you. Perhaps thats why it is so hard without you. You were greatly valued and loved, and always will be. xo

The One thing I remember most about Roy!
The one thing I remember about Roy most is that in 15 years of friendship, I never once heard him call anyone names, not once. That might seem a bit of a cliche but he simply never called anyone names, He never ever said anything about whither someone had a relationship with God or not, neither did he doom anyone with his mouth, not ever. In my books that makes him quite a unique man, very unique, But you would have had to know the man personally and then you would understand why hes loved and missed so much.
